Patriot Sporting Challenge (PSC) held its first two annual events in 2017 and 2018 to benefit the families of those served by the Folds of Honor Foundation. Folds of Honor is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides scholarships to the families of fallen or severely wounded American military. In both PSC events, over 40 teams, each with 4 members, competed in shooting, fishing, and golf activities headquartered at The Links at Land’s End, a world class golf course adjacent to Lake Fork in Northeast Texas. Thanks to PSC’s numerous Partners, Medal and other Sponsors, local businesses and restaurants, and with the help of many community volunteers, $175,000 was donated to the Folds of Honor Foundation for scholarships from the first two events.
In 2019 PSC expanded its scope to include the families of fallen or severely injured first responders in Northeast Texas and the surrounding area. Its first event, “PSC Legacy Day”, was held at Lake Fork on on October 5, 2019. PSC partnered with the Trinity Oaks, another 501(c)3 organization which has provided outdoors oriented programs for over 1500 youth and families since formed in 2007. To allow this new PSC event, the annual Lake Fork Challenge has shifted to a spring event.
