In 2014 was the event director and organizer of the “Outdoor Extravaganza” held at the Century Link Center, featuring “The Duck Commander” Phil Roberson and wife Kay. Served as a deacon on the board of First Baptist Church, Bossier City, LA, and was involved with several faith-based events sponsored across the north Louisiana area before moving to Texas.

As a journalist, has been in news, sports, sales, and general management for newspapers, radio and television. Served on a number of faith, denominational, business, non-profit, and community boards across the state of Texas and a national board for Bible Study publications.
